Giveaway: Off Season by Anne Rivers Siddons

Posted on: June 26, 2009

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.

off season

From Barnes & Noble:

For as long as she can remember, they were Cam and Lilly–happily married, totally in love with each other, parents of a beautiful family, and partners in life. Then, after decades of marriage, it ended as every great love story does…in loss. After Cam’s death, Lilly takes a lone road trip to her and Cam’s favorite spot on the remote coast of Maine, the place where they fell in love over and over again, where their ghosts still dance. There, she looks hard to her past–to a first love that ended in tragedy; to falling in love with Cam; to a marriage filled with exuberance, sheer life, and safety– to try to figure out her future.

It is a journey begun with tender memories and culminating in a revelation that will make Lilly re-evaluate everything she thought was true about her husband and her marriage.

Thanks to Valerie at Hachette, I have permission to give out 5 copies of Off Season by Anne Rivers Siddons.

Giveaway ends July 17 at midnight EST.  Only open to residents of the US and Canada, no PO Boxes.  Sorry international readers 😦

No need to enter me. I’m dropping in to let you know I posted this at Win a Book. Thanks for the e-mail! It helps us out a LOT.

Right now I’m painting my moms wrap around porch and its taking me 3 days!

Hi,
This summer I plan to stay home, do some gardening, walking, reading and swimming.

chey127 at hotmail dot com

This sounds like a good read. I’ve enjoyed other books by Anne Rivers Siddons and I know my mother would love it too.

My plans for this summer are pretty boring. We just moved into a new house so there will likely be more organizing, potentially some painting, yardwork, maybe a yard sale… Hopefully we’ll have time for picnics in the park, going to the beach, and maybe a couple of camping trips too!

My plans for the summer call for lots of reading and if I can, inducing my husband to go on a couple of road trips.

Thanks for the contest!

Both hubby & I teach. I plan to read ALL summer..either at home or preferably at the beach cottage!!

I”m planning on spending as much time as possible with my family and having fun! We have a few small roadtrips (one being tomorrow to a waterpark/amusement park) and a few to zoos/museums! I also plan on going for more nature walks and trying to sqeeze time in to sit outside and do some reading! Thanks for entering me for this book.

I don’t really have any plans for the summer, just doing the normal daily grind.

This looks like a good book, please enter me into this drawing.

Thanks for hosting this giveaway.

My plans for summer include taking my boys to track practice and swimming lessons, reading a lot of good books, and a trip to the Shakespeare Festival in our state. I’m sure we’ll do a lot of other spur-of-the-moment fun stuff too.

I would love to read this. 🙂 I’m in a musical this summer, and plan to spend the remainder of my summer expanding my business and spending lots of time with my kiddo.

I hate to say it, but summer for me is like the rest of the year, I work full time and put my husband through college. At least this year he will finish his masters and start his PhD. Just 3 more years and maybe we can actually take a vacation in the summer. Oh well.

I am leaving for a cruise in a few days. I can’t wait.

I posted on another post and voted in your book pole. Now two are tied.

My summer will be spent finding a job. And maybe going to my prents Beach Cottage fo the weekend. And of course, reading. Especially since I already had a vacation to Athens and Istanbul in March.

And my parents are taking u kids on a cruise in December to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

I have the summer semester off from school so I plan to get a lot of reading done

I also voted in your poll

I don’t have much of a summer left (school starts in 3 weeks here) so with what little I have left, I’m vacationing in Gatlinburg, TN, then in Chattanooga, TN. I’m also trying to get caught up on some good books.

+5 entries for leaving a comment answering the question: What do you plan on doing with your summer?

Relaxing, sitting on the swing and listening to nature’s music, the birds. Have family over for a BBQ when the youngest of us comes down for a visit.
BUT I might be taking treatments for cancer this summer depending on when they call me.

I plan on going to the beach a few day and do some reading on my porch con5459(at)gmail(dot)com

My younger son, my daughter, and one of my my grand girls are coming to visit. Of course, they are waiting until the racing season in Saratoga Springs. During the summer, living here is like a long vacation. Events galore, and with SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center), we have the New York Ballet, and performers, and the orchestra, etc. We also have Saratoga Lake nearby, and Lake George is just up the road. Of course, I always associate summer with reading, so I will be doing more of that.

This summer I have already finished a 5 week summer reading session and my Harry Potter week leading up to a party and seeing the movie on the 15th. I still have the rest of July for programs – I am a children’s librarian. We are heading for NH and NY to visit family and attend our 45th high school reunion (ouch!) the first week of August. School start back up Aug. 7, so the summer will be done.
I am commenting on Diary of Cozette and Knight of Desire tonight.
